Leadership positions and skills

Between 2010 and 2016 Dr Matej Avbelj was the Dean of the Graduate School of Government and European Studies and the head of the school’s research team, its academic forums and quality commission. He is also vice-president of both the Centre for International Studies at the European Faculty of Law and of the Slovenian Association for European Law. In 2015, Dr Avbelj also chaired the Association of Independent Higher Education Institutions and currently serves as its vice-president. He has led two Jean Monnet projects financed by the European Commission, and a post-doc research project funded by the ARRS.
